With friends like these, by fawsley (redish brown cortina-Adult)

Hi, call me Turtle. I will be driving for Life on Mars this month. I love stories featuring the Test Card Girl and other ways in which Sam Tyler is just a bit mad. My first time here, so I will try to keep things basic and to-the-point in my recs, and get a few out every week. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Fandom: LIFE ON MARS
Pairing: gen
Length: word count - 770
Author on LJ:fawsley
Author Website: fawsley at Collators Den
Why this must be read: Because it is one of the very best featuring the creepy little girl in red, showing all the ways in which she is both Sam's best friend and worst nightmare.

*pins fandom medal on you for persevering*

The Collator's Den link isn't live, but you could fix that by coding it the same way you did the story link -- Perhaps put Fawsley at the Collators' Den in the bit between > and

Well, the good thing is that all the information is there and the links are all working.

As to the spacing, it's just a matter of whatever posting window you have open isn't recognizing it. Hit the edit button and just use your enter key to re-enter the spaces. As long as you don't touch any of the coding nothing should go wrong. If you're not just down to your last nerve already, in which case let it stand.

Really, it's lovely of you volunteer to be a reccer. ♥

LOL, I was just writing you about my harrowing experiences in the world of HTML when I first posted at CV last year. Looks like you did everything right!

I'm sure you'll have fun driving the rest of the month, now that you're used to its whistles and bells!

ROFL! Nothing that a bottle of wine or a huge chocolate bar can't fix! ^_^

Yay for you getting it fixed. I sweated buckets over coding when I first started posting stories. [livejournal.com profile] starwatcher307 has a lot of easily understood explanations for coding, if you are interested.

Yay, you got it to work!

Oops, it looks different now. Everything in one paragraph instead of on separate lines.

That's because Rich Text = evil. And you'll get better with practice...

::hands you lots of breakable things to throw::

But it looks great once again.

Hey! Guess I missed all the coding drama, because it looks perfect now! Go you!!!

Great story to start with, Faws is awesome. :)

I'll keep checking to add these to the delicious list.

Hey! I'm honoured to have been your first rec - thank you so much!

I must say that now I look back on it, I really wish I'd cut that intro para, but what's done is done and that's the way it was posted so I'm not going to alter it, rather see it as a reminder to cut cut cutty cut at every possible turn! Though now I'm cutting Sam and Gene as I can't see me writing any more of them in the immediate and perhaps longer term future. It was fantastic fun but I don't have the faith to go on any more. But it's lovely to end with your reccing this one!

Ouch! Sorry to hear about the coding drama, but that makes me only doubly chuffed that you persevered! I certainly have had much fun writing Sam and Gene (and creepy TCG now and again) but now in a situation where I've been backed into a corner or should that be out of the door by person or persons that will remain nameless and don't have it in me to fight. But the fics will remains where they were unless of course LJ goes under which it seriously looks like doing!
