Why this vid kicks ass: This vid is a great big warm fuzzy hug for due South, for Vecchio, Kowalski, and Fraser as special individual snowflakes and as partners. Each guy gets a section of character study rather amazingly well matched to the lyrics, and, among other nifty and marvelous things, sdwolfpup (brilliantly!) uses crosscutting to show (hot, heartwarming, oh boys!) similarities between the Rays' relationships with Fraser. And in a vid that's already overflowing with affection for its characters, she gives us the extra gift of a nod to the ensemble that never fails to make me all emotional. You Can Call Me is this fabulous combination of smart and well-observed and glee-inducing and touching and fun. Kind of like due South. And fandom. \o/
