Where Angels Fear to Tread by Lila Blue (PG 13??)

\Fandom: NCIS
Pairing: Tony/Gibbs
Length: A lot of words and chapters
Author on LJ: N/A??

Author Website: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/581224/

Why this fic must be read:
For my last fic rec of the month I was hard up trying to pick and choose. It landed b/n another depressing disease based fic by Lila or an AU based fic by Eeon & K. But due to my mood I had to choose Angels because it's one of those fics that treat the reality of being chronically ill with such candor and realistic imagery that it hurts to read and breathe at the same time.

The plot is lengthy and very detail oriented. There are alot of good character insights and it gives the reader something new that most authors dread exploring. As authors it seems we can kill characters with ease but having them live with such harrowing consequences is harder than all get out. I attribute that to our belief in escapism and our goals when reading fanfic or literature in general.

The fic gives Tony and Gibbs plenty of life to suffer with and plenty of family to enjoy and hate at times. Despite Tony having to live with something millions face everyday there is a happy ending in sight for the couple and the team.

And for more recs and fanfic goodies feel free to explore my memories where I have any and all fics that catch my attention. One day I might mimic Donutsweeper and actually compile a best of list to appease the random stopperbyers(sp lol)...Have a great Feb.!

wow.

This is the first NCIS I've ever read. This was a fantastic story. I loved it even with the scratchy knowledge I have of this show.

Thanks so much for the rec. I'm off now to check out more of your recs.

If you don't mind saying... what was the AU fic you nearly rec'd instead?
