Why this must be read: this is a story about the Human!Doctor, adjusting to his life in Pete's world (which turns out to be different in so many subtle and amusing ways), working for Torchwood and meeting a very familiar face. It's very funny but it doesn't gloss over the difficulties. The character voices are spot-on, the dialogue is brilliant, plus it contains this gem, that sums up  everything you need to know about the Master. :)


“I thought this Master had died?” Pete said. 

“Technically, he died. But that never seems to take with the Master. He’s like bloody Teflon.”
