VID REC: DUE SOUTH - Don't Tell Me by keerawa
Vidder:
keerawa
Musical Artist: Madonna
Pairing: Ray Kowalski/Stella Kowalski
Vidder on LJ:

Why this vid kicks ass: because it shows the power of what Ray and Stella had together.
keerawa takes a twitchy, jerky song and sets Ray and Stella's post-divorce relationship to it, perfectly. She manages to capture the love, the anger, the sadness between them as they fight to find their individual paths after the divorce.
I love explorations of Ray and Stella post-divorce, because it's clear that it wasn't ever a lack of love that divided them. This vid illustrates that beautifully.
keerawa uses sharp, abrupt edits and perfect timing to capture the emotions behind these two people and it works so well. For additional insight, read
keerawa's notes on the vidding process for this one. It's fascinating.
