Why this must be read:
This is a must-read for all angst/dark!fic fans, and not only because GSR darkfic is rare in this fandom, but because Kerlin weaves the story of Grissom and Sara's relationship in a unique way - from the end to the beginning. And I think it works really well with the overall sombre tone of the fic.
In Detroit, he told her she was beautiful. Not obliquely, by comparing her to baseball, so she could later question if it had really happened. He just looked at her, with that half-smile of his, and told her she was beautiful.
That's when she knew she was losing it.
