MEMORY LAPSE by Carmen Sandiego (Teen)
Fandom: DOCTOR WHO
Pairing: none and yet many. It's mostly gen with overtones
Length: 48,750 words

Why this must be read: The late summer of 2008 was dominated by a slew of fix-its for Journey's End, as fandom gave a collective primal howl over the finale of season four.
This was among the most original and the most plot-driven of those tales. It gives you the Tenth Doctor, a mystery in Cornwall, Sarah and the kids, a Donna who does not remember, Jack Harkness, Gallifrey and the Time War. It is not perfect but it is written with huge verve, has some terrific lines, excellent characterisation and a gorgeous, sad ending. To say more would spoil it, and as someone who read it chapter by chapter and loved that experience, that's the last thing I would want to do.
