Rain by Nataliya (NC-17)
Fandom: THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.
Pairing: Napoleon Solo / Illya Kuryakin
Length: 19K
Author on LJ:
cousinnat
Author Website: None that I know of, but her stories can be found on File 40 and The Chrome and Gunmetal Madhouse
Why this must be read: It's a wonderfully breezy read from Illya's POV as he, Napoleon and four other U.N.C.L.E. agents are making their way back to New York HQ when their journey is interrupted by a fierce storm. Finding shelter at a small hotel, the story pulls you in with a sense of warmth, humor, camaraderie and ultimately love. It's a tender story that never fails to make me smile.

I enjoyed writing Rain, although I typically get in a rush toward the end. I should start my stories with the end, then do the beginning and the middle. Maybe I would get a more thoughtful first-time scene. Write and learn.
