Why this must be read: I've labeled this NC-17 because there are a few moments in this novel-length story that earn that rating, but they  very few and far between.  This AU epic is set around the premise of Lionel finding baby Kal-El in the corn field instead of the Kents and how that changed things.  It did not change things for the better for poor little Kal-El - or Colin in this story, Lin for short.

From start to finish, this is one of the best constructed stories I've ever read.  The author kept her characters consistent and believable in their behavior; she kept the story on track and didn't leave any glaring holes in her plot.  The story was kept moving at a good pace and I never got the feeling of being bogged down as I read it.  She has some wonderful original characters and a great Bruce Wayne.  So take some time in the next week to enjoy this terrific story.
