Be Still by CarlieD (T aka PG-13)
Fandom: NCIS
Paring: Tony/Ziva
Length: novel length
Author on LJ: Author does not have LJ (as far as I know)
Note: Be Still is the first in a very long series of fics, which I also recommend reading.
Author Website: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/969832/CarlieD
Why this must be read:
I hate baby-fics, like hate hate as in I see baby anywhere in a summary of a fic and I close the window with a look of disgust. They just don't make sense to me ever and almost always get sickly sweet and lovey-dovey which Ziva and Tony will never ever be (at least in my universe). With all of this considered, I love Be Still which is a baby-fic. It is so well written and not a perfect-lovey-dovey "Tiva" family. It seems completely plausible, which for a baby-fic, is almost impossible to be. For that reason alone should Be Still be read.
"Take the surveillance away from my house,” Tony said.

"Take the surveillance away from my house,” Tony said.
“No. I will take the surveillance away from here. Another six months of relative freedom, Mr. Ranier.” He looked around. “Where is your wife and daughter?”
“My daughter’s napping,” Tony replied stiffly. “My wife is at home with the flu. Now, if you don’t mind, I have more customers to see.” He stood and added dryly, “I assume this dinner will be going on the house too?”
