Why this must be read:

Nick and Greg in an art museum. It seems unlikely, I know, but I have been in love with this fic for a long time *because* of its unlikeliness. Writing a quiet piece featuring a character like Greg Sanders is challenging, because he's smarter than the average bear, but he's also very...colorful. A lot of the time that translates to loud, but he has many quiet moments in canon and this fic really reflects that side of his personality.

It also touches on the problems of dating a coworker (particularly a repressed gay ex-cop from Texas) and just how far Greg's willing to go to give Nick what he needs to make their relationship work. It's about Greg wanting more and not quite knowing how to ask for it, and the Nick in this piece rings so true you can see him as you read.

foggynite doesn't write nearly enough CSI fic, and this is the only Nick/Greg piece so far, but I keep hoping for more because it's just that good. Go. Read. It's short (as, sadly, are nearly all the good Nick/Greg fics) and it's definitely worth your time.
