Hi, I'm Stephanie, and I'll be your Roswell driver this month. Roswell was a really big deal for me - it wasn't my first fandom, or the first time I wrote, or anything like that, but it was certainly the fandom where I did the most growing, and I'm far more attached to it than any of the others - even the ones I'm active in now. And I'm going to try really hard to give a broad overview of the entire fandom, not just stick to my little corner. Anyway:

Why this must be read:

It's short, so it won't take you long to read. Unlike most short pieces, it's not a character piece, it's barely-there Roswell Poetry. (not in a bad way)

Maria and Michael were always about living and dying and being afraid (and, incidently, not being afraid), and, roundabout as that is, that is what this is about.

And it's not that it's a great introduction to Roswell, and it's not indicative of the other things I'll be recommending this month, but it's a beautiful slide in.
