It’s Always Harder on the One Left Behind by Kaye (R)

Fandom: STARSKY AND HUTCH (RPS)
Pairing: PMG/DS
Length: 1,000~
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] peg22
Author Website: For her RPS, this is the tag on her lj: S&H (RPS)

Why this must be read: Because RPS is a rare bird in the S&H fandom, but holy hell, no one imagines it better than Kaye. She lists it as Crack, frequently populates the lives of Paul and Davey with the likes of Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie to name but two. And she also manages to make you swallow past a lump in your throat as you giggle helplessly. Never more so than with this delightful piece, which imagines a phone call between the two guys as they prepare to shoot the final episode, ‘Sweet Revenge’.

We’re us. Always us. It’s time Davey. We need to end this thing. This show. These characters need a happily ever after. And so do we.

So that’s why we’re shooting the last day in bed? Starsky and Hutch and their happy ending?

Kind of. No. I don’t know. It just seems like something you’d do - you have done – crawling in bed with me at inappropriate moments . . .

Confirming the primetime homo thing, by the way.

I don’t care. I wanted us all together. And even ABC can’t have me shot one day and down at Huggy’s shooting pool the next. Had to be a hospital.

gosh, thanks! And you know this is just lighting a small fire in my fingers for some post thanksgiving crack. Especially since I am very holiday homesick here in the north this weekend! Devil girl!
