Why this must be read: This version of A Coffin for Starsky includes a great deal of the dialogue and action from the episode but also gives the reader insight into Starsky and Hutch's thoughts, fears and emotion during the agonizing 24 hours after Starsky is poisoned. Now, whenever I watch the DVD, I miss knowing Starsky and Hutch's internal monologues.

Yes, they are both great. I remember years ago watching the episodes on DVD and reading the fics at the same time (while using the "pause" button at times). SunnyD's stories add so much to these two great episodes.
