Yes, you read that right: a BWoC het fic! Gasp! Shock! And it’s good--not a Mary Sue in sight.

Future-fics usually aren’t my thing, but this story takes the Merton and Lori from canon, and lets them grow up without distorting who they are. There is a nice sense of friendship between Merton and Lori, and of possibility. Bittersweet and hopeful all at once, this is one of the only good Merton/Lori fics I’ve been able to find thus far.

Okay. You win *waves white flag*

I'm officially in the BWoC fandom. I'm having tapes sent, I'm reading the fic, and I'm becoming increasingly convinced that the scriptwriters for this thing were fanficcers who went legit. (Mpreg? Evil boybands? The Coreys?) I'm in, dude!

And just like *NSync, I'm going fic first, actual media second. I always do the big ones backwards, so that's a good sign.

And not just any fic writers--slash writers. They have some lines of dialogue that made my mouth drop open in shock ("can they do that on a kid's show?!") The second ep alone ("The Bookmobile") was enough to leave me screeching.
