Company in Hell by Wolfing and the Mad Poetess (NC-17)
Fandom: BTVS
Pairing: Giles/Spike
Authors on LJ:
wolfling and
mpoetess
Author Websites: Wolfling's Lair and Pointy Stakes
Spoilers: This is a Season 6 AU.
Why this must be read:
Giles/Spike isn't an easy pairing to make work, but these two authors are successful in creating an AU in which two sad Brits bond in their grief. The guys have more the usual woe-is-me angst--you can tell how angry they are, and that makes their emotions seem real to me. This story has had lasting appeal for me.
Company in Hell
