Author on LJ: obstinatrix desoto_hia873 is definitely one of the queens of the happy little corner of fandom.  My absolute favourite story of hers is f-locked (its getting published OMG!!!) so we'll go with my second favourite.

She wrote it in response to a prompt that made her think, quote "that the prompter must want a crack universe wherein Bill and Leonard take some time out, grow hippy beards and sell snakes to stoners in downtown San Francisco. That's what they got, anyway."

It's fantastic.  Quirky and funny and, yeah OK cracked out a bit, but only in the best possible ways.  After filming Star Trek ends, Leonard declares he's moving to San Fran to open a pet shop.  Bill goes with him.

Awesomeness ensues.
