Why this must be read:
Because this is downright creepy. Watching You may not be everyone’s cup of tea. It is dark, violent and quite bleak, in fact, and the characterization might not entirely ring true to some readers. The characters, especially Horatio, are a bit off center, but they retain enough of the characters’ essential qualities that it doesn’t slip entirely into AU. The structure of the story is equally unconventional composed of three first person POVs - Kennedy, Pellew, Hornblower - as the story unreels. But above all, this story is just plain creepy. I found myself thinking on it more than once after reading it and for that reason alone I think it deserves a read.
