No Bravery by tutncleo (R)
Fandom: NCIS
Pairing: Gibbs/DiNozzo
Length: 48 k
Author on LJ: http://tutncleo.livejournal.com/
Author Website: http://tutncleo.webs.com
Warnings: Angst, Established couple, Hurt/Comfort
Why this must be read:
The author says that this story is inspired by a story on depression in law enforcement. I can’t say anything about law enforcement depression but I can definitely agree with her take on depression in general. DiNozzo is badly hurt and the shock and worry makes Gibbs see how several weeks of tiring, hard work and disturbing murders have affected him and through him, the rest of the team. A series of flashbacks keeps the story from becoming static or too lost in Gibbs’ inner musing of what has gone wrong and how he can fix it. Although Ducky, Abby, Tim and Ziva are all on the periphery of this story, the main component is Tony and Gibbs and their relationship. It’s a good read but has more inner musings than action, although I think there’s enough angst in here to keep it interesting.
