Why this must be read:
I’m not particularly sure what it is about this one, to be honest. It’s odd, dark, and slightly triggery. Different not just in tone, Human Puppetry is different in that it features Arthur and Trillian in a relationship. Not a particularly healthy one, granted, but a relationship nonetheless.
This one works particularly well either with Film!Trillian in mind, or with the complete mangling that happened to her in Mostly Harmless.
If you’re in the mood for something dark, and that doesn’t much feel like a typical Guide adventure (which could also be said for the last two books), this is a good place to start.
