At the end of the episode A Study in Pink, Mycroft comments to Doctor Watson "you can imagine the Christmas dinners" between himself and Sherlock and we get a gloriously appalled look from John. I credit this scene with the plethora of Christmas-meet-the-family fics in this fandom and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. *ahem*

This story is a fabulous John-goes-to-Christmas-dinner-with-the-Holmes-family with the added bonus of the plot revolving around how Mycroft and mummy and everyone seems to think that John and Sherlock are already a couple. Sort of. Anyway, it's a cute read, particularly for this holiday season. Enjoy!

I am so glad you recced this! Even though I really enjoyed watching the series, I've been in a "Glee" induced fanfic marathon and really haven't looked for anything outside of that. I decided to just check out this story for a little variety, and I LOVED IT! I had to comment on each chapter, because each and every one was amazing - and the story just kept getting better.
