Why this must be read: This is one of the fics that was written for the kink meme prompt in which Byron beats the crap out of Nelly, a canon point that is only hinted upon in a few places. That alone makes this an interesting read. The characterisation is such that one could totally imagine it having happened that way and in the end, the pairings get some sweet moments. While it does show the drastic difference in the characters' political leanings, this fic does so with a good amount of snark and a little fluff which makes it great fun to read.
