Why this must be read:

I adore all of jumpfall's Mentalist fics, and I particularly heart (*HEART*) this story: it's the very best of team dynamics and character study as the CBI crew works together to rescue Jane from an unexpected encounter with a mine shaft.  (No worries to those who aren't fans of H/C...injuries are minimal and there's very little angst beyond that which a Patrick Jane character study would necessarily contain).
