Why this must be read:

Firstly, please be warned that this is a non-con story: it primarily deals with the aftermath of non-con and also includes a bit of non-con of its own. That being said, while I don't typically enjoy non-con stories, this one is just amazing. The author completely nails Jane's personality, and the team!love and reactions detailed in the story are beautiful. I think what I like best is that Jane, while clearly affected by the event, is never a victim in this story.

This fic is a sequel to a kink-meme fill that the author first posted anonymously. That one is a bit more heavy on the non-con than this follow-up (plus, it's from Red John's pov, which is entirely creepy all on its own), but if you don't find the subject triggering, it would be worth reading first. Aftermath occurs the day after.

I just wanted to say: thank you for this rec. I don't normally read in the Mentalist fandom, though I watch the show; but the premise of the story was interesting enough to make me click and I enjoyed it a lot. So thanks!
