So two posts in a row might be too much, but I don't want to forget, so I wanted to go ahead and get my last rec for the month out here. I was really hoping to rec more than five fics but apparently having a destructive storm at the end of April meant a lot of hours at work dealing with things. Then a concert and being sick. So yeah, May...where did it go?

Why this must be read:

Something about Gala that never ceases to amaze me is the fact that she's inventive with her ideas. When I first got handed the keys to May's rec van I knew I needed to rec something of hers, but it's hard to pick what is a good example of how hard she rocks at things. There's so many stories where she dazzles. In the end, I decided to choose her story that skews fairytale godmothers. She blends a modern world with mild fantasy elements very well. Add in the idea that fairy godmothers are curse givers and you have something made of awesome. Her bbPanic! work so well in the story. This was the fic that I remember as my first real introduction to Gala and it does not disappoint at all.
