This is my final rec! As I said at the beginning of the month, the Mentalist has a small (but proud!) fandom given the number of viewers it consistently gets. It is my fervent hope that more and more fans will get sucked in come join us and help the fan community grow. We've had three great seasons so far, and I'm counting on several more to come.

Thank you so much to everyone who made my first time behind the wheel so lovely! I love this community, and I love the Mentalist, and I am completely honored to have had the opportunity to share some of my favorite stories, authors, and vids with you.

Why this must be read:

This is, without a doubt, one of my very favorite fics in this fandom (which is why I chose it as my final rec). It intelligently and beautifully fills in what happened after the season 2 finale, "Red Sky in the Morning." There's some amazing insight into Jane's character, some very, very sweet Jane/Lisbon interactions, and a bittersweet ending that finishes it off perfectly.
