It's All Right If You Wanna Get Down by lalejandra, 14A

Pairing: Kevin Jonas/Multiple Partners
Length: little over 5K

Why this must be read: It's a wonderful fic on the different forms love can take.
The story explores Kevin Jonas's own sexuality freak-out and how he deals with it.
He calls Pete Wentz.
It could've gone so many ways, especially completely wacky and crazy, but this was beautifully
handled and a moving read.
Sometimes Kevin's mom knocks on the door to his room and says, "We thought maybe you'd like to stay home from church today -- sleep in, clean this pit, baby." She always blows him a kiss before she disappears, only her special church perfume lingering in the hallway to let Kevin know he hadn't been dreaming.
Bonus stays home on most of those days, too, so Kevin never cleans his room, just plays video games with Bonus and sometimes makes pancakes. His pancakes are usually flat, gummy in the center, but enough butter and maple syrup makes everything taste okay, if not amazing.
It takes a while for Kevin to realize that this stops when he gets engaged to Dani -- Bonus still stays home some days, but Kevin never does anymore. It takes even longer for him to realize that the days Bonus stays home are the days the sermons are about marriage. Marriage, sexuality, and, once, the evils of transgender people and the perils of associating with them. Joe stays home that day, too, and it's the day Kevin realizes what's going on.
Except he can't really figure it out, isn't really actually sure what's going on. Do his parents think Joe and/or Bonus are . . . transgendered? Or just . . . curious? Did his parents leave him home deliberately on days when they knew the sermon would be about gay people because they think he is gay? Was that why they were overjoyed when he asked Dani to marry him?
Is he gay? How do people know they're gay?
