Riding the Loa and sequel Vous Deux by Cassandra (NC-17)
Fandom:STARSKY AND HUTCH
Pairing:Starsky/Hutch
Length:long, but not too long
Author on LJ:unknown
Author Website:http://shslash.kassidyrae.com/fiction.html
Why this must be read: Riding the Loa, takes place right after Starsky tries to kill Hutch in Voodoo Island. Starsky is still under the spell and he "rapes" Hutch. Sadly the next day Starsky can't remember what happened, and Hutch can't forget.
In Voudon, the loa are also known as “the Divine Horsemen” because of their special relationship to their worshipers; a person who becomes possessed is said to be “mounted by the loa” and is in a sense the “horse” during the while.
Vous Deux is the sequel to Riding the Loa. Within the voodoo society, there are no accidents. Practitioners believe that nothing and no event has a life of its own. That is why “vous deux,” you two, you too. The universe is all one. Each thing affects something else. Scientists know that. Nature knows it. Many spiritualists agree that we are not separate, we all serve as parts of One. So, in essence, what you do unto another, you do unto you, because you are the others. Voo doo. View you. We are mirrors of each other’s souls.
These two stories were really good. Don't let the rape keep you from reading how these two finally work it out and come together.
