Hi, I'm Gaby and I'll be your driver for all things NCIS  this month! :)

Fair warning: I'm a Tony gal through and through, and I usually ship him with Gibbs. I will, however, try my best to rec anything and everything, from explicit slash to team gen fics, from hysterical crack!fic to angsty hurt/comfort. So, I hope there'll be something for everyone here!

My plan is to make a daily pit stop, which you'll probably need because I'm an erratic driver. *g* So, buckle up and enjoy the ride!

Why this must be read: From the author's summary: "Tony was still capable of surprising Gibbs- and teaching him a thing or two about life as well." And that's exactly it. We don't know what happened to Tony, and it doesn't matter. What matters is how Tony deals with life and what others may perceive as his limitations. This story is short and bittersweet. It breaks your heart and makes you smile. One of my all-time fave stories and one of the reasons why I wanted to drive the van in the first place! :)

Excerpt:
“You're supposed to check who it is before you unlock the door,” Gibbs said as he heard the deadbolt come off. “Did you look through the peephole?”

“No,” Tony announced as the threw the door open. “But I di'n’t need to. Y’re the only one that g-g-growls like that. Besides, it’s down-and-over and you always come when the clock says down-and-over.”

Before Jethro could process that statement Tony threw his good arm around him for a hug. “Hey, Tony.” Gibbs returned the hug with equal force. “You going to let me in?” he asked when Tony made no move to let go.

“Course I am, Boss. That’s why I opened the door,” Tony answered, his head still buried in Gibbs’ shoulder.

You can't post too much for me! I love Tony too. I am a Tony/Gibbs girl mostly, but I've started exploring a few other relationships (especially Tony/Tim because I read some good ones) but its mostly Tony, Tony, Tony. I would really appreciate warnings on death flics though. I suffer from chronic depression and those tend to make me cry a lot.

Fair warning: Tomorrow's fic is a death!fic.

The comm rules state that we don't have to warn for anything, since we link to the author's story and they decide what to warn for, but I'll definitely warn for any potential triggers (like death or non-con). I just think it's fair.

And while I've never written them, I've read a few really good McNozzo fics, and there'll be a handful recced by me this month. :)

Thank you. I always figure the best I can is state my reasons and leave it up to the person whether or not they choose to warn. Its not like I can make you do it - and I won't try either. :)

Well, personally, I don't really have any triggers, but I think it's only fair and right to warn about potential triggers or squicks. I don't appreciate nasty surprises (for example, I hate it when I read a fic that's declared as Gibbs/Tony and suddenly, without warning, another pairing is shoved explicitly in my face...one that squicks me... It's not the same as death or non-con, but the same rule applies: be upfront about what's in your fic, dammit!)

I remember reading a fic that was a death!fic without any warning about this particular trigger. Normally, not a problem for me. In that case, I had turned to fanfic to distract myself from the death of a close family member the night before. It was...not a good combination. So yeah, warnings are my friend. :)

This icon (and the others I'll use, all with a "reading is sexy" on it) were made by georgiesmith who drove the van a few months ago and wanted appropriate icons. So I'm sneakily doing the same. *g*

Yes, I read (and write) slash, though I'm all for good gen fics. The only thing I give a wide berth is het. *g* Nothing against it, just not my thing. :)

And I just did a quick and dirty count of my masterplan for this month, and there's about a dozen gen fics. Which, really, is almost half of all recs. Which surprised me, coming from a die hard slasher. *g* So I hope there'll be more for you to enjoy! Stay tuned! :D
