Why this must be read: So, Timothy McGee writes Deep Six novels, right? Well, there has been enough fic where people write Deep Six fanfiction (most notably, of course, with the team members finding out about it). This story, however, tweaks the idea and makes it even better. Anyone who has ever gone to a Star Trek convention (for example) knows how the fans delight in dressing up as their favorite characters. Now imagine the same thing happening in regard to Deep Six. With Team Gibbs in the middle. And being told they're either too old or not authentic enough to pull off "their characters." This story is hilarious, and I wish we'd see something like this on the show someday! LOL!
Excerpt:
"It's like an eyeliner and parasol convention," Tony said, glancing appreciatively at the plethora of short, plaid skirts and the legs beneath.
"Not all of them," said Ziva, frowning at the near-equal amount of camo pants and dark ponytails. "Why are they dressed like us?"
"Uh, we're not dressed like you," sneered a voice from behind them, and they all turned to see another Ziva-esque brunette, barely old enough to drive, wearing an expression one tended to reserve for something nasty discovered under the dishwasher. "If you knew your Team Tibbs at all, you'd have done a little better with your cosplay."
