Redeem the Blood by Alara Rogers
Hola! I'm feldman and I'll be driving the Farscape Crack Van all month long. I tend toward the bumpier roads and scenic routes, so buckle up for safety and keep your eyes peeled for the roadside attractions. The locals are friendly as well as wickedly talented, so feel free to express your 'ooo's and 'aaa's in a nice feedback email for the authors.

Why this must be read: Excellent Scorpius voice and characterization.
On the show, Scorpius evolved from a well-spoken nightmare to a well-fleshed character who could arguably be cast as the hero if we took his point of view. It can be difficult to find fic that writes him as well or as interestingly, but Alara Rogers knows him and shows him to us:
"It didn't matter if Birain Renato despised her child, even if she bore an unfortunate resemblance to a cross between Rylani Dellos and a knife."

Re: Alara
*cough*
*slams head against desk*
I do have the rec-list bookmarked and I thought I'd checked to make sure there were no overlapping stories between that and my own list. It would stand to reason that the one I'd missed would be the one I start off with. *shudders*
Once I get over my mortification I'll put up a shiny new rec and try to forget this ever happened.
Re: *slams head against desk*
I'm not surprised it happened, given how long the Farscape list has gotten - I think there was an interval when we had more recs than any other fandom *g*.

Hey, don't feel bad about it - if there's a Scorpius story worth telling people to read twice, it's that one.
