WHY THIS MUST BE READ: This must be read, if for no other reason than that Hutch speaks German during sex! Seriously, I could read it for that alone. But there is more---Laura manages to put our beloved boys in a WWII universe where they are enemies trapped in a farmhouse, and keep them in character. It is a touching, wonderful read, and you'll love it. It's also very sexy. Did I mention that Hutch speaks German during sex?

LOL - no, not that. It was the whole concept of two avowed enemies of WWII, one a German and the other an American Jew meeting and falling in love! I ADORE well-written AU's and stories where hot lovers first meet and don't like each other are of high interest to me.
Someone who writes well and can capture the WWII feeling and attitudes to make it feel REAL to me is gonna get my attention.

Now...when I read it, I DID find Hutch speaking German while making love kinda hot...

Looking at your icon, I see Star Trek! Man, I loved the original Star Trek, and also the recent movie about when they were young. (Wish they'd come out with another one!) Anyway, I had a crush on Captain Kirk before I had one on Hutch!

LOL - oh yes, my dear! Star Trek TOS as well as Reboot has held me in a deep state of obsession since last year when it came on hard like a piano falling on my head.

Oh, I am such a Kirk-girl. There are not enough ways to hurt that man in TOS or Reboot! It's been such fun drawing both K/M and K/S art!

Wow! This story rec did NOT disappoint! I'm just telling you straight up that this is a rare gem of a story that can actually drag my attention away from my fav fandom to read a story in a totally different fandom, not my own.

I enjoyed every bit of this historical romance and the descriptive words you used painted the scenes so perfectly. These two men were so beautiful falling in love and I was completely in to it!
