Why this must be read:

Everybody likes a hurting Mulder. In fact there used to be a whole archive devoted to the fact, called, not surprisingly, Muldertorture. And then there's this story which explores the slash aspect of this phenomenon.


This was actually the first fanfic that Wombat produced, and it was an immediate favourite with me and probably many others, since she then went on to produce Methostorture and Skinnertorture.

It has a lovely style which combines tongue-in-cheek with matter-of-fact as I hope this extract shows:

'Mulder, what do they do to you in here?' Byers asked, appalled by the condition of his friend.

'You've read the fanfic.' Mulder said wretchedly. 'You know what they do to me. The pain, the degradation. The incredible, mind-blowing sex...'

'Is that what you do all day, man?' Langly asked, as he fumbled with the door lock. In just a second or two he had managed to open it, allowing the three lone gunmen to spill into the cell with Mulder.

'Not today.' Mulder said, laying wearily back down on the bed. 'Mondays I get off. Time to recover. Krycek comes round on Tuesdays. That's not so bad. At least I usually get to have sex and half the time I get to beat him up too.'

Hehee, this is one of my all-time favourites. The Spotter's Guide to the Common Krycek (http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/town/drive/xsi35/sgkrycek.htm) and The Spotter's Guide to the Common Mulder (http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/town/drive/xsi35/sgmulder.htm) are also highly recommended, they are *classics*. I was tempted to rec one of the Spotter Guides, but I think 'Muldertorture' is a good place to start before going on to read all of Wombat's funny stuff <g>

I always loved this fic - and Skinnertorture which was another in the series. Wombat is one of the funniest fanfic writers out there.
