Why this must be read: I made the comment in the overview that pairings can seem like names drawn from a hat.  How to make an odd pairing bring out other sides of characters is some of the fun.  The facts: In the 2009 World Tour Finals, both players were in the round robin stage and the only way Novak could advance was if Robin won his last match.  Novak begged for "Sir Robin" to help ihm out.  Robin had already qualified so wasn't exactly motivated to play it out.  This story is about possible fallout, in which a drunken Novak appears at Robin's door.  It's a little bit sweet, a bit heartbreaking on Novak's part, and just a touch of evil on Robin's part but he's no villain.
