Why this must be read: Summary: Sam goes undercover at a prep school to try and figure out the source of a number of mysterious occurrences. When events escalate, Dean enrolls as well. A slip of the tongue and now everyone thinks they are boyfriends. Deceit and magic combine in a combination that changes their relationship in ways they could never have imagined. Here's one of my favorite parts of the story →

A little voice in Sam's head berates him for being less than honest with Dean. After looking over the spell, he'd hid the second page before sharing it with Dean. The second page of the spell detailed some of the possible side effects and how to break the spell. Sam doesn't want Dean thinking too much about either. It's not like it can hurt them. It simply amplifies their feelings, so if Dean feels the same way Sam does, he won't be as able to hide it. He smothers the guilt that's trying to eat past his reasoning.

In the living room Dean's laid out the supplies. A local place, fortunately, had what they needed. The hippie chic shop girl gave them some pointers to help make the tattoos last as long as possible along with a huge smile and said, “Wow, matching tattoos. You two are so cute.”

Dean tugged on Sam's belt loop, pulling them in hip to hip and said, “Yeah, we get that all the time.”

Before they left she added, to Sam, where Dean couldn't hear. “You're really lucky. My boyfriend would never do something so public.” Sam flushed with pride and then plummeted into disappoint as he remembered it was all a pretense.


A well-rounded story that takes a simple situation that resembles canon and spins it into an intriguing case!fic and evocative love story that slowly unravels Sam and Dean until all they have left - all that they want - are each other. Sensuous, lush descriptions mixed with the violence of the supernatural make for a gorgeous fic and a story that can't be looked away from. And, fake boyfriends never, ever gets old, especially if it's a high school AU.
