Menage À Trois by Blondie (NC-17)

Hi MFU fans, I'm driving this month! Hope you enjoy!

Fandom: MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.
Pairing: Napoleon Solo/Illya Kuryakin
Author on LJ: Not to my knowledge.
Author Website: I don't know of one, unfortunately. She has a few stories at the File 40 archive.
Why this must be read:

UNCLE agent Mary Sue Bodine is living the dream. She's picked up *both* Napoleon and Illya and is taking them home to her bed. Only things work out a little differently than Mary Sue expected.

When I first started reading MFU, about nine months ago, a number of people recommended Blondie's stories, and this one in particular. I loved it immediately and re-read it often when I'm looking for something clever, light and funny. There's also some fine characterization and deep emotion swirling around, if you can stop laughing long enough. And when I laugh at this story, I am most certainly laughing at myself. (Note the name of the main character *G*.)

In spite of the premise, this is definitely a slash story. A hilarious one.

Whoohoo! I love this one. You're right, it's funny, sweet, and also surprisingly hot, with an undercurrent of real emotion, despite the silly edge. Great rec!

Hee! That made me smile.

Nice use of details in this story; thanks for the rec.

This is one of those stories I would never have read by description alone. But it was Blondie, and I enjoy most of her stuff, so I dived in. It's great! I think what makes it work is that Mary Sue is a strong, self-fulfilling female character, not your typical Mary Sue. So to speak. *g*

I adore this story and have read it many times when I'm in the mood for something light and sexy. Great rec!

It's also funny how some fanon cliche's that would bug me in another story just don't bother me at all in this one. :-)

Frankly, the description of this one is right up my alley

I should clarify that. *g* Threesome good, Mary Sue bad. I'd read a threesome (and how sad that there aren't many at all), but the minute it reads transparently as an author insert/Mary Sue, it gives me the heebyjeebies. Not to mention how many stories accomplish this by some serious OOC activity from the guys.

she's not a typical MS. She's fun to inhabit for the duration of this story, she's got a great sense of humor, and she's a damned good sport. :)

Absolutely! She's a believable person. Blondie wrote Napoleon and Illya so distinctly and personably in this one that she had to write a female character to match that, or it would have read like a Mary Sue. And I like the fact that she's unashamed about her likes and what she feels.

Sheesh, your icon makes me want to lick the screen. Mrowwwl!

LOL Thank you. =)
