Chain Gang by Starsky's Strut (R) Gen

Fandom:STARSKY and HUTCH
Pairing:none
Length:long
Author on LJ:unknown
Author Website:http://m.fanfiction.net/u/592153/

Why this must be read: Starsky and Hutch end up in an Arizona prison. The author has this posted before this story "WARNING Angst" and I love angst. I'm always amazed at all the ways writers can torture the guys and when I come across a really new and interesting torture, I want to share it with the SH world. Poor Hutch, he gets to be the tortured and Starsky gets to be the tortured too because he suffers when Hutch suffers and then he gets to comfort.
Oh, one more thing, I love a good prison fic and this one has them working on a chain gang, so that's another reason to read this story. Enjoy!

Tried to read this, Nancy, but couldn't get past the shaved heads!

[identity profile] sp-owl.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, most people don't care about shaved heads. It just squicks me something awful. And no, I didn't get passed the shaved heads part!

Oh, I'm sure it makes sense! Wasn't putting down the story. I'm sure it's a great story. I just couldn't get past that part myself. I can't stand to think of them, esp Hutch, without hair! Good to know they grow it back.
But I'm not in to a lot of torture, either. So i'm not missing out.

I read it, and loved it too quite a lot. :D Does my comment counterbalance Sstormc's one? ;)

Did you happen to read Firestorm (Starsky's Strut's too)? I think it should be recced in crack_van as well, but I can't post myself or I would already.

[identity profile] sp-owl.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I believe I read that one and liked it. (They kept their hair.)

[identity profile] hm-f.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Lol!

[identity profile] hm-f.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I know, but I would be a bad reccer. I don't want risking my posts be anti-recs...

[personal profile] nickygabriel 2012-04-07 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Is it even possible to make an 'anti-rec'???
My recs can be considered as anti-recs and nobody banned me from here so far LOL

[identity profile] hm-f.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 07:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I read some of the fics you recced. So, your posts aren't anti-rec, on the contrary :D

[personal profile] nickygabriel 2012-04-07 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
So you can try it too :)
It's always good to see here 'new' people!

[identity profile] hm-f.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Uhm, I'll think over it. But I'm still not convinced that I would do a decent reccer. I can't rec a fic saying: "It must be read because I loved it!" ...

[personal profile] nickygabriel 2012-04-07 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
You will be the reccer, so you will be allowed to say whatever you wish :)

[identity profile] hm-f.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Good philosophy. X)

[identity profile] sp-owl.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
You will be a good one, don't worry.

Thanks dear. <3

Yes you can, that's what all the rest of us say in our posts!

[identity profile] hm-f.livejournal.com 2012-04-17 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks Ciaan. I'd like to be more talkative than a simple "I love it because I love it," but I'm still considering to apply for reccing here. Still, it's not going to be right now, I'm too busy in my RL for starting to sift through the stories and decide which ones to rec, then keep up a schedule, etc. Maybe in a month or something like that. :)

[personal profile] nickygabriel 2012-04-07 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't read it, thank you :)

[identity profile] wightfaerie.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Strangely enough, I read this fic on my travels last weekend. Loved it, especially the torture.

[identity profile] hm-f.livejournal.com 2012-04-17 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Lol, I'm not surprised. X)
ext_2410: (Cool)

[identity profile] kimberlyfdr.livejournal.com 2012-04-07 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think I've read this one before, so thanks for the rec! :)

I love Strut as a writer but this one is a no no for me.
