Why this must be read: It's Starsky and Hutch's first anniversary as a couple of sexual lovebirds and Hutch wants to do something special for Starsk. He keeps it a secret. Remember the last time Hutch kept a secret from Starsky? It went very badly(The Fix). I hope this time he learns his lesson before it's too late.
Hutch grabbed the polish and proceeded to apply the final coat to the wooden hatch which led down to the bowels of the boat. The sun was warm and the perspiration dripped from his forehead as he worked the polish into the woodwork.
This first year with he and Starsky as a couple was approaching and Hutch wanted something memorable. Normally, Hutch would’ve found tasteful and sedate gift, but this being their first was special. He wanted everything that came with sweeping his partner off his feet. Envisioning Starsky’s reaction, Hutch smiled.
He knew Starsky would initially view this boat with some trepidation, but was confident when he showed the advantages of taking a boat out into the open water. After finding a private cove, Hutch was confident his lover would jump in with both feet with Starsky style.
A shadow covered his hands and when Hutch looked up, a tall figure loomed over him. He got to his feet and stepped off the cutter onto the dock.
“Here, you look like you could use this.”
Hutch grabbed the beer in appreciation. Kyle was someone who befriended him a few days after Hutch started working on the boat
