Why this must be read: Mike has an aura. A happy one. More than once person comments on it to him. Mike has no idea what they're talking about. Of course, Mike doesn't even realize he's in a relationship with Harvey so what does he know?

One of the things I love about this story is that it takes its time. There's no rush, we'll get there in the end. The story allows us to follow Mike and Harvey through several months of the on and off again relationship that neither of them quite realize (or are willing to admit to themselves) that they're in until they finally reach the same place at the same time where they both just know. It's a lovely journey with tinges of angst, misunderstandings, humor, and contentment. I love the writing style and want to take a moment to mention the terrific dialogue which is just wonderfully on target for every character. (Even Gregory who only gets a couple of lines!)

This is an honest story told with an adult sensibility. While I also enjoy the 'wham-bam-sex-happens-and-now-I'm-professing-my love-to-you' type of fan fiction, sometimes it's nice to take the long road with the characters to watch them blossom and grow (and sometimes falter along the way) as they find themselves falling in love. This marvelous story hits all the marks and is well worth your time.
