So, the season finale aired last night, which means we'll have to wait until September for the next new episode.

Guess that means we need some nice, preferably long fanfics to keep us busy over the summer, right? How's about this one then?

Why this must be read: From the author's summary: "Gibbs and Tony go undercover to try to bring down a people-trafficking ring. Things go wrong and Tony is hurt, but Gibbs is there to help him through it." And that's it in a nutshell, only it's so much more at the same time. The entire second half of the story is full of amazing, heart-felt, loving hurt/comfort (poor Tony really gets whumped). Everyone is wonderfully in character, the plot is intriguing, and the writing is top notch. Please do heed the warnings, just to be on the safe side, but believe me, the story is well worth reading.

Hi, I was just wondering: how much whumpage is "really gets whumped"? For instance, is it graphic and continual, or does the author gloss over it or perhaps she keeps it short? I've always wanted to read this story but continual torture is not really my cup of tea.

it's not continual torture...however there is an elongated scene about 3/4 of the way thru that's ummmm....'really whumpy'
it's definitely not glossed over but I do think it's written more tastefully than I've seen this particular idea handled elsewhere...

Well, as as254 already said, it's not continual torture. Quite the opposite, in fact. It's, compared to the length of the entire story, a rather short scene in the grand scheme of things, though it is somewhat graphic. I think it boils down to your own definition of whump, though, as far as these things go, the author really did manage to write it tastefully (for lack of a better word) and respectfully of the characters involved and anyone who might have had this sort of thing happen to them in real life.

As the summary indicates, Gibbs and Tony go undercover to bring down a people-trafficking ring. By doing so, they act as Dom (Gibbs) and sub (Tony). They get close to the bad guy, but in order to "prove" that they're the real thing, the bad guy insists on...sampling the goods (aka Tony). Tony agrees to it, if only so their cover won't be blown. So you could argue it's dub-con, not non-con, though I won't argue if anyone wants to call it rape anyway. Tony's going into this knowing full well what happens, but it's still difficult for him to endure, especially because Gibbs is watching.

I just went back to have another look, and if you're uncomfortable reading the actual scene, it's clearly leading up to it by the protagonists talking about it in chapter 4. Whenever you hit the point that makes you too uncomfortable, just scroll past the rest and continue with chapter 5. You'll know what happened to Tony but don't have to actually read it, and the h/c starts in chapter 5.
