Why This Must Be Read:
Because it's just about the best thing ever written. Well, that may be an exaggeration, but not by much. This story has so much to offer, so many delicious scenes and just the right amount of male machismo in delightful MFU packages, that you finish up wishing it were only the beginning of a very long book. Sadly, it is not, although the preview states it was intended to be part of a novella.
This hasn't been rec'd since 2006, so i feel safe in doing it again here in a bonus Saturday round of Crack Van generosity.
A little dollop of what you have to look forward to:
"Rusito!" Reaching Illya, Vara caught his shoulders in both hands and drew him into an enthusiastic embrace, the stiff, male-bonding abrazo with which Spanish males everywhere greeted each other. Illya responded with more reserve, but he was clearly pleased to see what was, apparently, an old friend. Watching them, Napoleon Solo was struck once again, as he so often was, by how little he knew of where Illya went, and what he did, when he wasn't working.
I have no doubt that you will enjoy reading this excellent story.
