Why this must be read: This is a gem from this year's Bandom Reverse BigBang that has apparently been overlooked by most Bandom fans, and I really don't understand why. Frank is a well-known horror movie star in this story, meeting Brendon, a barely known actor. They fall for each other instantly, but none of their friends are confident that they'll make a relationship work. What makes this so perfect is the mix between cracky details (like Mikey and Gerard's obsession with horror movie facts or Ryan's weird and obsessive roommate rules, to name just two), the focus on how a relationship actually strengthens and how Frank and Brendon fall for each other, and the hints of seriousness that come across in a few small but very important scenes. It strikes just the right balance between tragic and comic.
