Why this must be read: The entirety of the Come and get me, come on Sean/Patrick series lalejandra wrote for this year's Kink Bingo round is fantastic. But if I had to pick my favorite of the group, it would be Stretched. I love the difficult mood evoked in the story and how it's carried through to the end in a sort of cathartic release, and how the pairing it's done with is extremely unconventional, but somehow familiar at the same time. I'm sure it would help anyone who hasn't read Empires fic before that half of the ship is from one of the bigger bandom bands, anyway.

Sean glances around the green room. It's one of the nicer ones they've been in on this tour -- air conditioning, fans, overstuffed couches and arm chairs. His band, minus Tom, who's secreted himself away somewhere to call Danielle, is clustered around the game system at the other side of the room, beers at the ready. Julio is in for a sad awakening if he thinks he's going to beat Max at any game involving a Mario brother.

No one is looking at him, that's the important thing. No one is looking at him, and the door is closed. They were early to the venue, they have hours until sound check, no one's going to come in --

Sean keeps his eyes lowered as he sinks to the floor. No one's looking, he tells himself. No one cares. He takes in a long breath as he puts his forehead on Patrick's thigh. It's not entirely comfortable -- he's too tall and Patrick's too short for it to be comfortable -- but when Patrick drops a hand to Sean's head, it's comforting, anyway.

Not being ignored.
