Why this must be read:
I think this is one of the first stories I read in LOTRiPS and still parts of it stay with me. I just posted an inquiry the other day in my journal about it. So it's rather fitting, I think, that this be my last rec. I like it so much because Buffett matches a picture to every chapter or perhaps wrote every chapter about a picture. It's a visual aide that's completely unnecessary but gives something more to the story.

*sniffs* Awww. Gotta love the angst *g*

One thing I'm always confused about when I'm reading LotRips though, is legal drinking age. I'm pretty sure that New Zealand has the same law as Australia (where I live), which is that you're legally allowed to drink at 18. Yet every fic I've ever read has Elijah being told he is too young to drink in pubs/nightclubs/whatever. At first I just thought it was a common misconception made by American (I have no idea about British) fic writers, but I've also heard Elijah himself say at the time of filming that he wasn't old enough to drink. Now, he was talking to an American audience at the time, so I don't know if it was a publicity thing (doesn't endorse underage drinking and whatnot), or if it was actually true.

So, yeah, confused. *g*

I think that might be because Elijah was only 17 when they began filming. I think he had his 18th birthday about four months into the shoot.
