Why this must be read: Aside for being a very rare pairing, the take on Fraser's deconstruction is fascinating and well-written; he's very much himself, but he's not a Mountie, he's not a paragon of virtue, but a man who got turned around and made a bunch of mistakes. Given his childhood, ButterflyGhost draws a pretty natural conclusion that Fraser in this universe is a man who went the other way. Nonetheless, Frannie's compassion and characterization is lovely, and Fraser isn't a villain by any means himself.
