Pigeonville, USA (series) by sheafrotherdon (PG)
Greetings from the temporarily grounded Helicarrier (don't ask...it had something to do with that troublesome God of Mischief, it's a bit of an embarrassment for the World Security Council, and honestly, the details are probably above your pay grade.). I'm
bethbethbeth, and I'll be reccing The Avengers this month with a little of everything: het, slash, and gen...starting with this:
Fandom: The Avengers
Pairing: Mostly Gen (with background Steve/Tony and Phil/Clint)
Length: @ 4,500
Author on LJ:
sheafrotherdon
Author Website: author's AO3 site
Why this must be read:
Reason 1a and 1b: Because the political shenanigans in these stories are strangely believable (note: the series is - technically - incomplete, but the two stories absolutely stand on their own), and because I'm especially fond of the long-suffering, secret ninja Phil Coulson.
Reason 2: Because tonight (in the real world) the first of the 2012 U.S. Presidential Debates will be airing, and Pigeonville, USA focuses on the 2016 U.S. Presidential Race, where Steve Rogers (neither a Democrat nor a Republican in this series), is far ahead in the polls...as one might expect. What could be more timely?
