The Sentinel/Doctor Who (All Ages)
Title: The Silence of Eagle’s Nest by Morgan Briarwood with art by Mella

Length: 7200 words

Author Website: Morgan at AO3 and Morgan at LJ
Artist Website: Mella at DeviantArt and Mella at LJ
Why this must be read: This is another fine offering from this year’s Sentinel Reverse Big Bang challenge, in which the art is submitted first, then the author writes a story inspired by the art.
Jim is a sheriff in a nineteenth-century Texas town called Eagle’s Nest, but he wasn’t always so. Five years before he was a twentieth-century police detective in Cascade, Washington. As you may have guessed, he landed in Texas courtesy of the Doctor, and has been waiting for a return visit. When the TARDIS shows up, there are more than a few surprises in store, including how Jim’s sentinel abilities might be able to help battle a bizarre enemy. Enjoy.

--magician’s mantra: make an author’s and artist’s day. Send feedback if you liked their stuff!
