The "Taking Action" series by Closer (R)
And with this story, I bid farewell to my reccing stint for the month. Bye all...it's been great fun!
Fandom: AVENGERS
Pairing: Pepper/Steve/Tony, Bruce/Natasha, Phil/Clint, Thor/Jane.
Length: 65,782 words
Author on LJ: N/A
Author Website: Author's AO3 Page
Why this must be read:
Author's summary: A single timeline told from three different perspectives, involving three different relationships.[with incidental zombies, friendly robots, not-so-friendly robots, video games, and a jar full of soul.]"
I've saved this for my final rec because this series gives all members of the Avengers a chance to shine - and a chance to find happiness. Lovely, smart, engaging...and believable. I'm usually wary of stories that pair everybody up so neatly, but in the hands of a writer as good as Closer - one who has such a good sense of the entire cast of characters' voices, motivations, and feelings - well, there's really nothing I'd rather read.
