Why this must be read:

I really love when an author uses an AU to introduce readers to an area of interest the author knows and loves. I think it's great when I get a chance to learn about something I never would have even thought about Googling if it hadn't been featured in a fic I loved. The passion and knowledge otter has about horses and horse-riding really shines through in this fic, without the reader getting distracted by unfamiliar terms or concepts. That passion also translate to the AU versions of Stiles and Derek, who are both wonderfully competent in their respective fields.

Flying Changes is a great job!AU with Derek as an olympic-medalist dressage rider who meets (and falls in lust/love with) stunt rider Stiles. It's hilarious (socially awkward Derek makes someone cry), fascinating (I really want to see more stunt riding) and hot (slow, slow, slow and flexible sex). The lack of angst is also refreshing, with the boys progressing from flirting to sex to more without hitting any of the standard speed bumps that are so common in fanfiction.
