Why this must be read: a loving, tender story from the point of view of a busy nurse in the ER on the May morning when Starsky was brought in near death after the shooting in the police parking lot. As with all nurses (I'm one myself), she is used to putting aside her own sorrow to deal with the pain and suffering of others, but she can't quite get Hutch's devotion to Starsky out of her heart and memory. Thumbs up to Londonmaid for this fic.
